01, July 15: Arrival in Kathmandu. Welcome and
receive from airport
Day 02, July 16: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
valley
Day 03, July 17: Start a short trip around
Kathmandu with drive to Sundarijal and trek to
Chisopani.
Day 04, July 18: Trek from Chisopani to
Nagarkot
Day 05, July 19: After viewing the Sunrise in
the Himalayas, Drive back to Kathmandu en route
visit Changunarayan Templa and ancient city of
Bhaktapur, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and back to
Kathmandu
Day 06, July 20: Tibet tour preparation day.
Day 07, July 21: Kathmandu to Nyalam
(3700m.):
Depart at early from Hotel in Kathmandu and drive to
Nepal-Tibet border. After immigration and customs
formalities on both sides we drive to small town of
Nyalam
Day 08, July 22: Drive from Nyalam to saga
(4640m.):
We start after breakfast, enjoying the grand view of
Mt. Shishapangma (8021m), Gauri Shanker and other
high mountains from Lalung La Pass (5050m.). Packed
lunch will be served at sacred lake Pigutso. From
Pigutso Lake we will have very close view of Mt.
Shishapangma 3rd highest mountain of Tibet
Day 09, July 23: Drive From Saga to Paryang
(4540m.):
After breakfast we drive across the vast Tibetan
plateau to Prayang (225 km). Passing several rivers
and nomads' camp. In summer nomads' camp move to
higher places in Chyangthang for the comfort of Yaks
& Dri. Packed lunch will be served on the way Ruins
village of Dongpa.
Day 10, July 24: Drive from Paryang to
Manasarovar (4600m.): After breakfast we drive
across the vast Tibetan plateau to Manasarovar Lake.
We cross Mayumla Pass 5300m. And
on the day good view of border Himalaya of Nepal
including Mt. Kanjiroba and good chances to
encounter Tibetan Wild Antelope, Wild Dog (Chengkhu)
and Wild Asses (Kyang). lucky person encounter Wild
Yak too. The auspicious day for all travelers having
first glimpse of the Holy Manasarover and Mt.
Kailash from the Horchu (first prostration center)
overnight at seralung monastery.
Day 11, July 25: Trek around Manasarovar Lake
(Tak) Overnight in camping near the lake.
Day 12, July 26: Trek to Gusul Gompa
Day 13, July 27: Trek from Gusul Gompa to
Chiu Gompa.
Day 14, July 28: Manasarovar to Darchen.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 15, July 29: Trek from Darchen to
Diraphuk. Today is the first day of the
circumambulation of the Kang Rinpoche. we walk
through Darpoche(the place for the Saga Dawa
festival) where we can do the first prostration and
walk along the Sersung valley and side of the sutlej
river. Overnight camping
Day 16, July 30: Trek from Diraphuk to
Khandosanglam. Very special day of the trip that we
will go over the Dolma-la pass(5630m) ), offer
Prayers at the Dolma La and go down towards the
Gaurikunda. Decent straight down 1 hour rocky gully
to Sabje Dadok and further 2 hrs to Khando Sanglam.
Overnight in camping.
Day 17, July 31: Khandosanglam to Phinsum.
After an hour walk we will reach Zuthulphuk miracle
cave created by Mila Repa during the magical contest
between narobunchung founder guru of Bon religion,
trek to Takser Takmar where our Land Cruiser will be
waiting for us and drive to Phinsum. Today is most
special day which we complete both Mt. Kailash(Kang
Rinpoche) and Lake Manasarovar. Overnight camping.
Day 18, Aug 01: Drive from Phinsum to Saga.
Overnight camping/Hotel.
Day 19, Aug 02: Drive Saga to Tingri (4390m)
Day 20, Aug 03: Drive Tingri - Everest BC
camp(5100m)
Day 21, Aug 04: Explore Everest Base camp
(5100m)
Day 22, Aug 05: Drive to Lhatse
Lhatse is situated at the crossroad from where the
road joins from the south(Kodari). During the short
summer season, the whole valley is covered with
green barley fields and bright yellow mustard
meadows, and is a welcome change after the barren
lands of the Tibetan
plateau. There is also a small hot spring located a
few kilometers away.
Day 23, Aug 06: Lhatse to Sigatse (3900m).
Sigatse is most famous for its Tashi Lunpo
Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama, who is
regarded as the reincarnation of the Buddha of
Endless Enlightenment. Items of interest inside this
monastery built in 1447 A.D. by the first Dalai Lama
are: the relics of Shakyamuni, the Hall of Maitreya,
and a mind boggling collection of Thankas, frescoes
and statues. There is a bustling market at the foot
of the ruins of the Shigatse Fortress where one can
buy local handicrafts embedded with coral and
turquoise, Tibetan daggers, Chinese porcelain and
yak butter.
Day 24, Aug 07: Sigatse to Gyantse (3950m)
(visit Khumbum stupa and Palkhor monastery)
Day 25, Aug 08: Gyantse to Lhasa (3650m) by
Yamdrok Lake. (overnight in Hotel)
Day 26-27, Aug 09-10: Sightseeing tour in
Lhasa city. The religious, cultural and economic
center of Tibet. Place of interests include the
Potala Palace, the 13 storied, 1000 room palace of
the 14th Dalai Lama; the monasteries of Drepung and
Sera;( Drepong is not allowed to visit tourist due
to political reason from Last year) the summer
palace of the Dalai Lama, Norbulingka; and the
Jokhang the holiest shrine of Tibet. The circular
Barkhor Street hosts innumerable shops and wayside
peddlers intermingle with the devotees walking
clockwise around the Jokhang, infusing the magic
that is Tibet
Day 28, Aug 11: Transfer to Gongkar airport
and fly back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, receive
from the Kathmandu airport and transfer to Hotel
