Everest Base Camp Trek |
|
 |
|
The Everest base camp trek is probably the most
famous trek in the world -and deservedly so.
It's has taken millions of years and
unimaginable powerful force to create this
mountain range; the Himalaya is literally what
happens when continents collide. It's even so
vast that it has changed our global climate
system - and nowhere is it more spectacular than
in the Everest Region.
The Everest base camp trek goes right into the
heart of Himalaya, taking you into the famous
trading town of Namche, world's highest Buddhist
monastery and Everest base camp itself, where
Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgey set off on
their epic journey to the summit of Mt. Everest
in 1953. Best of all you get to see the Everest
itself, to see the earth's greatest
accomplishment and witness its power and grace
first-hand. |
