The trek to Ghorepani - Poon Hill (Pun Hill) which is located in Annapurna region, is truly called as all the best of the trekking in Nepal.

The trek offers the spectacular mountain scenery along with charming villages inhabited particularly by the Gurungs & Magars, dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurnas with the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak) dominating the skyline.

One of the important highlight of this trip is to make a climb on Poon Hill, possibly the most spectacular mountain scapes on Earth. When sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks, there gradually appear, just like magic that your eye could not believe.

Besides, during journey, you are rewarded by the natural beauties in your each & every footsteps.

Itinerary in Details

Days 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu; transfer to the Hotel

Days 02 : Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley

Days 03 : Drive/fly to Pokhara

Days 04 : Drive to Nayapool and start trek to Tikhedhunga/Ulleri

Days 05 : Trek to Ghorepani

Days 06 : climb up to Poonhill (early in the morning to see the Himalayan panorama and sunrise views) and trek to Tadapani

Days 07 : Trek to Ghandrung (village of Gorkha warriors)

Days 08 : Trek to Deurali/Pothana

Days 09 : Trek to Phedi and drive back to Pokhara

Days 10 : Exploring Pokhara valley

Days 11 : Aarrival in Kathmandu, pick up from airport and transfer to Hotel.

Days 12 : Drive to Sundarijal and start a trek to Chisapani

Days 13 : Trek to Nagarkot and overnight at resort

Days 14 : Sunrise view in the Himalaya including Mr. Everest and drive back to Kathmandu

Days 17 : Drive or fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel. Welcome and briefing the trek- Ghorepani-Poon Hill

Days 18 : One hour drive to Nayapul by private Car / Van, we then begin trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m)

We begin our trek at Nayapul, driving to the road head. After 15- minutes short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1065m) a large village that has many shops & teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola.

From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1495m & after the short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1525m. This trek offers a short & relatively easy day, during journey & allows us to become used to the experience of trekking in Nepal.

Days 19 : Trek to Ghorepani (2860m)

Leaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with steep climb to Ulleri. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2070m. Then the trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak & rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then we make our trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m. After an hour walk brings you to Ghorepani at 2775m.

Days 20 : Hiking to Poonhill 3193m - back to Ghorepani, and trek to Tadapani 2630m.

This morning, we will get up early in the morning, and go for hiking to Poon Hill. From here you will see superb view of sunrise, and panoramic view of Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and so on. After visiting Poonhill, we will come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and continue walking to Tadapani.

Days 21 : Trek to Ghandruk 1940m

The day starts with short down hill. Leaving Tadapani, we descend steeply through forests and then the trail eases as we reach Ghandrunk (2000m), which is the village of Gurung people, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal, have their own dialect, typical culture, costume, and life style. This village is possibly the popular tourist destination that offers the beautiful mountain views and having easy connection with Pokhara or Kathmandu.

Overnight at Guest House

Days 22 : Ghandrunk to Pothana (1890m): Walk downwards to Modi river and ascend to Landrung, a beautiful Gurlung village and lunch at Tolkha and yet another easy ascent up to Deurali. Overnight at Pothana.

Days 23 : Pothana to Pokhara: ¾ hours easy way down via Dhampus village to Phedi then one hour drive to Pokhara. Trek ends

Days 24 : Rest and sightseeing in Pokhara

Days 25 : Drive or fly to Kathmandu

Days 26 : Free day and preparation for Tibet tour
