Superb trip!
On the advice of Babu Lama, who collected me from the airport, I decided not to do the Everest trek, but instead plumped up for the Langtang option. This proved to be a good choice as it was relatively tourist – free. The views were spectacular and Uttam and Netra my guide and porter respectively were excellent.We stayed in a variety of guest houses which were generally clean and comfortable and were able to exchange advice with other trekkers. The Langtang – Gosainkund – Helambu trip lasted two weeks. At times it was quite hard work but always worthwhile and I would recommend it to anyone.Later on I spent an enjoyable three days in Chitwan National part at Island Jungle Resort, and then a quick two days trek from Pokhara to get a closer view of the Annapurnas. Sadly it was cloudy but from the town the view is still superb.
